Discuss Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

I think its a good franchise. They definitely milked it as much as they could. However still think in horror genre a straight to dvd sequel wouldnt be the worst idea. I wouldnt want the same characters. Start fresh & focus on new couple. No relation to kate at all. So many ghost stories you can do. Many new angles you can do especially with the social media aspect.

Had no real desire to see any more sequels after the second one proved enjoyable; thought to myself: "Quit whilst your ahead". Alas, there seemed to be a market for quite a few more films

I'd go so far as say, after the 3rd film (which goes backwards & explains the backstory of the 2 sisters, somewhat wrapping up the trilogy nicely) there REALLY was no need for more, but like The Purge, Saw & Insidious movies, these were ULTRA cheap to make & were profitable, hence were made until the franchise was murdered, dead & buried!

Well, like it has been said, this has gone the way of Saw, Halloween, and sadly even Insidious as a film that initially was kind of fresh and had an interesting premise. After two or three entries, these films seem to fall off a cliff and have nothing that made the originals groundbreaking in my opinion. They just become cash grab films with little substance, just the familiar name.

To answer the question, I would not want to see another PA movie ever again personally.

Although I'm with you, I see Paramount reviving it after a few short years to see if there's a "market" (kinda like Blair Witch & Jigsaw..neither which did that well at the B.O. anyway).
