Which sequel was the most underrated by critics and fans? Personally I love all of these films very much. I find them all underrated

Alien 3 is by far the worst of those movies.
What a load of garbage and an insult to the previous 2 awesome movies.

Harry, I wouldn't be so negative. Alien 3 has introduced the most intriguing thing about xenomorphs - they take features of their hosts. It also has introduced the royal facehugger. Nowadays every Alien-based novel, comic, movie and video game uses those ideas!!! The acting in A3 was way better than in Aliens too. The runner xenomorph is one of the coolest xenos I've seen so far.

That revelation is weakened by many of the special effects being laughable when measured by today's standards.

People, like me, spend so much time hating it for the obvious reasons we forget to mention just how awful the FX now look in this.

Irina, Alien 3 was awful.
The acting is awful, the plot is awful, all the characters (except Ripley) are awful, the setting is boring and uninteresting, the special effects are way worse than Aliens.
Aliens is 100000 times better than Alien 3 in every possible aspect.
