Discuss Fright Night Part 2

I hadn't seen this movie in a long time and completely forgotten how terrible it is. The premise is not bad. Someone comes seeking revenge for the vampire in the original film but the rest of it is just plain awful. Charlie's girl in it was actually really cute and I remember her from a dystopian B -movie from the 90s called Class of 1999. But this film was so full of nonsensical shit like at the end you got Charlie who is super weak, presumably from being drained of blood and being under the influence of the vampire, have the strength to hold the main vampire, who has super human strength, into the ray of light that Vincent was reflecting with the mirror? Whatever. And the pacing in this film was terrible. You had to wait forever for anything to happen. Holland's film was much better and I heard that he is working on a sequel that completely ignores this abomination.

Execrable as this movie was, I'm not sure how excited we ought to be for yet another instance of Hollywood dusting off a franchise that never quite was from The 80s, even if the original director is returning. Sounds eerily reminiscent to the ropey attempt to drag Ghostbusters beyond one movie

Yeah but George Miller did a fantastic job resurrecting the Mad Max series if only for a single film. I loved Fury Road. Although I heard Hardy and Theron hated each other which is probably why another film has not been made.
