Discuss Rodan

The original cinema title is just 'Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka' (see also the poster in media), but the main title here is 'Rodan - Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka' which is a title for home video AFAIK. How can we swap these?

How can we swap these?

We can swap them. We just need concrete proof that Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka was used for the original theatrical release.

It helps, but how do you know the posters are from the original release, and not a re-release? Some German material appear to be using "Ronan" as a title, for example the film programs here. thinking

Interesting, on the same site I also find this: http://www.godzilla-germany.com/Titel/1950-59/1956_RodanWA/1956_RodanWA.htm

I saw it several times in cinema and it always had the title 'Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka', but I will try to contact the author of the site. Maybe he can help.

OK, talked to the author, he is really an expert on this kind of movies. In fact 'Rodan - Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka' is the original title of first cinema release. 'Die fliegenden Monster von Osaka', how I knew it from the cinemas was already a re-release. So we can keep everything as it is. Sorry for bothering.

Sorry for bothering.

Not at all. It's always good to make sure we have the right title. Thank you for reaching out to an expert. cat
