Nah! Why? There are some movies out there that are terrible and Payback isn't one of them. Do give it a try.

Watch it for Mel. It deserves a watch.

Thanks I will give it a go. The reviews are pretty bad but I do like Mel and it is my kind of story.

I remember the reviews being good at the time the film came out. Even though I found the film to be just ok. Watchable but not a lot to it.

PAYBACK IS AN EXCELLENT FILM.GREAT PERFORMANCES BY A TOP NOTCH CAST.SWARMY ACTION.THERE ARE 2 VERY DIFFERENT VERSIONS WIDELY AVAILABLE.THE THEATER RELEASE WHICH WAS HEAVILY ALTERED FROM THE DIRECTORS VISION AND PAYBACK:STRAIGHT UP,THE DIRECTORS VERSION.BOTH ARE GOOD,IN DIFFERENT WAYS.
