This trailer is... I dunno...

He doesn't sound like "Axel Foley". He sounds like the Eddie Murphy from Daddy Daycare/family-friendly style.

It's nice to see so many familier faces (Ashton, Reinhold, Reiser, Pinchot) so I hope they all helped capture the magic (though I still wanted to see Eilbacher).

She has managed to stay out of the public eye. The latest photos I can find are from 2017.

Looks like it might be fun. Sorta like a big budget special effects extravaganza but with some real human characters underneath the explosions. I never saw the original BHC but if get a chance to see this I probably will.

I had almost all the lines in that movie memorized. It's classic, lived up to its hype at every level.

"Don't you think I know what's going on here, miss?"

"Listen. Listen to me. I do security checks...all...over...the nation...!"

"I don't know what you teach these fellows but they're not just regular cops...okay? They're supercops, and the only thing missing from these guys is capes."

"Is THISTHEMAN?"

It's funny. It's serious. It's got heart. And soul. A gazillion quotes (and not just from Eddie. Ronnie Cox was everywhere in the 80s and he was great here) and crazy fun scenes....

And it's also got an interesting racial backstory regarding Sylvester Stallone.

There's so much about this movie that makes it a significant part of the history of Hollywood.

You should see the first two, so fun. It was EM at his funniest.

Yeah, so what I Iiked a lot about Axel was how he didn't mince words with the bad guys. He just said how he really felt with his chest, even if it was to Cop's intimidating bad guy played by Steven Berkoff telling him to crawl back under his rock, or "wherever" he had come from. If Eddie's not channeling that spirit in this one, it may not be worth the cost of entry for me.

Honestly the movie seems like it will end up being a huge disappointment like "Coming 2 america" was where Murphy was basically a supporting character and the rest of the old cast were reduced to very brief cameos. There was a time when making another sequel to Beverly Hills cop or Coming to America would've maybe worked, but these lazy sequels made decades after the originals never seem to succeed and the people making the new movies don't seem to have any idea what made the originals good in the first place so you end up with one disaster after another.
