Discuss Wonder Woman

There was nothing about this movie I liked. It was so cheesy (in every way) and not even enjoyably cheesy. It'll age very badly because of all the CGI. I didn't hate it but it was just blah to me. Why the hype?

For me the 'Hype' was the anticipation of a character that has been around for over 70 years being finally brought to the big screen.

After watching the movie her portrayal as a 'Goddess' was pretty uniquely portrayed for a comic book come to live action on the big screen.

Her origin story and cast of side characters though replaceable were pretty solid.

I got it and am anticipating her next solo and team adventure with the JLA.

Frankly this movie was like Captain America First Avenger. But you replaced Chris Evens with someone clearly cant act and you make the villains even more cliche and stupid.

I just saw this and enjoyed it. It's a refreshing take on the superhero tale (due to the protagonist being very much a woman). Really, it was just fine to me, up until the dull and generic-feeling climactic battle. Studios sometimes can put out about half a dozen of these CBMs in a year, so the climactic battles need to be distinctive in them. I chalk it up to DC shooting themselves in the foot again.

What has she being a woman got to do with this?

I meant that the protagonist being a woman feels like a refreshment for me with the overly familiar tale of the CBM (comic book movie). That's all. Most CBM heroes or superheroes are usually men.
