What would you do if you were in the position of the captain on the ship?

Personally, I would perhaps try and be a bit more transparent with the crew members, especially when they kept asking what was going on with the situation. I guess it's challenging as it seems the captain was doing all he could with not much avail, so understandably everyone on the ship was getting frustrated, especially as the months went on. It would be a scary environment to be in when the crew started becoming more hostile to each other and no where to really go. Perhaps this is why Kurd was behaving the way that he was as he has had enough of all the dramas happening?

Surely, there would've been similar situations as this boat was in, I wonder how they handled it. Perhaps, trying to get as much advice from their local authorities after a couple of months or even threatening to go to the media outlets about the company, even though it was declaring bankrupt. I remember one of the crew suggested selling the boat, perhaps they could beat the company to it. Ha!
