... in describing how awful this movie was. Absolutely NOTHING the characters did made any sense at all. I guess the relatively average ratings are for the suspense, which I guess there was, and there was nothing wrong with the acting, but the completely nonsensical decisions the characters made were just too much.
SPOILERS BELOW:
S P O I L E R
S P A C E
Why did they think they had to leave the house? There must have been some place in that rather large and sturdy house that they could have barricaded themselves - an attic, a basement? Which would have been far safer than going out there where the dogs were.
Was the plan ACTUALLY to have the wife and kids in the back of an open pickup truck? Seriously?
Did the husband lose his ability to speak while aiming the gun at the door or what? He REFUSED to tell his wife what the actual threat was, but then tells her to tell them to HURRY when she's on the phone with the police.
WHAT DID THEY THINK THE POLICE COULD DO ANYWAY? Against a pack of mad dogs? They were JOYOUS when the police car arrives - because cops have magical powers against canine threats? And then it didn't dawn on them that the cop would be IN DANGER until it was too late. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
I'm not even going to talk about the woman FALLING while running away (at least she wasn't wearing high heels, though.)

@jann:
Which movie were you commenting about?
I see that your comment appeared in the main General forum,
not in the specific forum about the movie.
This site has separate forums for every movie, show, and person in the database.
If you go to the page about the movie, you can then click the "Discussions" link
to go to that movie's forum. You could then repost your comment there.

I actually did post this in the forum for the movie ("The Pack")
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/344854-the-pack/discuss/58a4d373c3a36818c7000032
I don't know how it also wound up on the General forum.

Watched it just now, casually on youtube.
It seemed quite drawn out. If you don't find dogs that scary the whole movie is a bore. If I were to write a movie about a pack of wolves I think a family camping trip gone wrong would be a better vehicle for a thriller.
