It hasn't been released to the public yet.

It was shown at a film festival.

Yeah, but not everyone has access to TIFF

Yeah i saw the trailer like oh wow they are doing a bruce lee biopic and it will be done in justice? Nope. Chuck testa. The IMDB reviews are already flamming it. It doesn't have any kind of connection with the Lee family either. So yeah. Bombs away!

I went to see the movie thinking that it would be a biopic of Bruce Lee, so I felt disappointed when I saw the action too much focused on one of his students and the love interest of that student, very obviously fictitious and narrated in a poorly way... But after some reflection I realized that the movie was not about Lee's life, and of course not about the invented narrative, but about the actual fight between Bruce Lee and Kung Fu master Wong Jack Man, a turning point in both men lives. Given that the fight happened behind close doors and with very few eye witnesses, the accounts of what really happened are contradictory and it is not even clear who won - or for that matter even what "win" actually would meant in such unconventional setting. I believe the movie captured much of what was a stake and the different spirits under which Lee and Wong Jack Man approached the confrontation, and also the impact that it had in their lives, philosophies, and fighting techniques. I must say that the depiction of the fight (in spite of some obvious artistic licenses) is closer to Wong Jack Man's account than to Lee's, so there is a possibility that the movie is slightly biased in favor of former, but for a number of reasons I find Wong Jack Man's version of the fight more credible than Lee's. I think the movie is worth more than what its critics claim if one knows what to pay attention to, and avoids getting distracted by the non-essential details of the narrative.
