Which is the fight scenes. Well, let me take that back it did improve but only slightly. At least the camera was pulled back enough so you could actually see what was happening. I just don't understand why they cannot get it through their heads that Batman is a martial artist expert. So bringing in an kung fu choreographer would be ideal. A few high kicks, speed punches and broken bones never hurt a scene. Also the fact that Batman gets shot like 20 times in the movie. He never gets shot so many times. He's usually smart enough to put himself in a situation where he either uses a tool to avoid getting shot or just dodges the assailant altogether. Its seems like this director said, "Batman is super rich and can afford super ultra magically bullet proof materials to make his suit right? Alright fuck it, let him get shot." I'm not saying Batman never gets shot but it was a bit ridiculous in this film. Overall I did like the movie. My instinct is to give it 7.5 stars but I always round up. One of these days they will make a movie where Batman doesn't look like a street brawler in the fight scenes but today is not that day.

I couldn't stand any of the Tim Burton Batman's. Again, terrible action sequences. I suppose for someone who never read the comics may think these non action Batman's are palatable. In the comics, Batman reads a room and plays out in his mind before he acts how he is going to take them out. "I'll sweep that guy's leg there. The guy on the right will swing from the right, I'll catch his arm and break it in time to swing around and kick the other guy in the face." etc. etc. The BvS scene in the warehouse is indeed the most true to the comic Batman fight sequence. Even the goofy show had better fights that TDK. Also, a balding, out of shape Bruce Wayne in Michael Keaton? Um, no. Physically the worst Batman. Probably worse than Adam West. Batman was so stiff in those Burton films. he looked like Batman with a bad back. At least The Batman got his detective skills down. Batman is a genius when it comes to detective work. Nothing gets by him which is why he was able to solve those riddles with ease. You got none of that with the TDK. The Nolan films are not Batman movies. They are Nolan films with Batman in them. You are right about that.
