This is a solid lesser-known William Powell starrer, with terrific additional primary cast of Hedy Lamarr, Basil Rathbone, Claire Trevor, Felix Bressart, and Margaret Wycherly. It's engaging right from the get-go, with the court trial that quickly hooks the viewer, who will wonder what in the heck has been and is going on.
I'm especially taken with the scenes that feature Rathbone, Trevor, or Wycherly, as the character each respectively portrays is so interesting (and their involvements so intriguing) that you definitely want to find out more about each of them.
Good little movie, definitely worth watching, and certain to be enjoyed.
Incidentally, an ideal film to view this on an excellent double bill with is 1937's Confession that also co-stars the great Basil Rathbone.

Yep, he's pretty awesome! (Ditto Rathbone and Trevor! I'm a fan also of Lamarr, but she was usually just so-so of an actor, though does well in this movie.)
