Yup, thought about that too :o) I suspect they either put him in another waterpool, or deemed him 'not worthy of revival' like the cave-men.

yep they themselves should have throw him in the pool of youth so the future guy could help them escape

...and the dog, Boss was totally forgotten.

Boss did not enter the cave if I recall correctly. As for saving the cavemen... why would they save them? They were in their natural habitat. They would have lost their mind on the ship with all the tech and everything.

I know that the dog did not enter the cave, what I meant was he was never shown or mentioned again.

Good point. The dog would have followed his owner into the cave eventually. Major plot hole.

I don't think so. Dogs have enhanced senses. Even the humans felt the weird difference in the air when they went through the bubble. I'm sure no dog would go through it. Then again, maybe her got attacked by a wild animal or ran after a damn squirrel and hurt himself or was just trained to stay put no matter what. Maybe he wandered off, looking for food, and another vehicle saw the lost dog and took him in. I don't see how that's important anyway. Not a very big plot hole as fare as I'm concerned.

The change was** way** more than a variation in humidity. But humans don't perceive it. Dogs could. That's how I explain it at least. Agree to disagree also. They could have done something with Boss later on in the movie. That's true. Maybe they just said "the hell with Boss" or deleted a scene that would explain why he's not there, I don't know. I have this tendency to always want to find explanations to things that seem a little off.

The movie is a mess. Characters that didn't appear before, like the couple on the end, appear out of nowhere, while characters that were present just leave the story.

The gordie dude had died and was ressurrected. The dog doesn't enter the cave from what's shown and never appears again. If the dog would enter, he'd appear just seconds after Hopper was there and would easily find and meet him, so he never did and anything else happened to him. Hopper's sister also wasn't rescued, as with the guy on the vest that sufocated. And the ppl that were at war deeper on the cave, it's not explained who they are and wh they were fighting.

Another issue is that most characters got on the cave using the vertical hole, but there's also the horizontal cave used by Hopper. So there was a easy passage there. Of course, they were on an unknown place scared of the cave men, but even the cave men weren't trapped and could have left there. Ah yeah, and the cave men were alrdy human, humanoids became erect hundreds of thousands of years before humans appeared, so they'd never walk like that.

The movie also doesn't explain anything, be it the ressurecting water, how the time trap was created and so on. If something had happened to Earth and surviving humans had to leave it, hardly they'd spend the efforts and huge time to save a few humans on a time trap cave. And also, how'd future ppl know how the cave worked by themselves?
