I was looking for something to “fall asleep to” and this was in my Prime recommend. I kept thinking while watching it that I may have seen it (I didn’t look at release date/etc, I just selected it and fell asleep), but it still drew me in.
I finished the film and must say the political themes are so prominent now I wonder if it would be made at all, and I definitely wonder if the same actors would be involved. Not knowing it was an older film I kept thinking “wow, good for them, these actors must see, understand and be willing to communicate the complexity of political unrest, healing and the need to hold to our constitutional standard even—and perhaps especially—when it’s hard and we don’t agree.”
Then I came here and saw that it released in 2010 and I had already seen it for sure…since I had already rated it. I’m changing my rating, it’s going up, because this film has only grown better with age. And we still need to learn and remember it’s lessons which are many.

I've accidentally watched films pre-2019 lately, and they are definitely different. We will likely look back on 2020 as a watershed moment for so many things in our world, and few for the better.
