Happy Birthday, Pierce Brosnan!

A very Happy Birthday to Pierce Brosnan, the 5th actor to play James Bond. Mr. Brosnan was born on May 16, 1953 in Ireland (and he still is drop dead gorgeous!).

@wonder2wonder : My late mother, who was born and raised in Ireland, was VERY happy when Pierce Brosnan became Bond. I'm glad that she got to see GoldenEye before she passed away in 1998.

I'm glad she was able to see him as James Bond. I hope she enjoyed it.

He is one of those actors, that when the name pops up, you just have to go and see the movie.
Three other movies where he was playing a secret service agent (not Bond) too were "The Fourth Protocol(1987)", "The Tailor of Panama (2001)" and "The November Man (2014)" .

@wonder2wonder : And of course he's not afraid to make a complete idiot of himself onscreen, as when he played a wheelchair bound Centaur (?) in the first Percy Jackson movie and when he sang in Mama Mia (one of the film critics said he sounded like a lovesick bullfrog).

I loved him in "Mamma Mia!"
His singing wasn't great, but it was natural, manly and unpresuming.
(not like all that auto tune and lip syncing singers use)

Other than Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan was my next favourite Bond :)
