Yes, the film was watchable but I agree that they failed chemistry class. To tell the truth, while I like McGregor, I have never been all that impressed by Blunt. She's not a bad actress but tends to make very little impression. She was mildly amusing in The Devil Wears Prada but I didn't see the great breakthrough which many claimed - many actresses could have played the part to similar effect. In most other roles - The Young Victoria, Looper, Sicario - she tends to go through the motions without the charisma that makes a great star.
I do appreciate that she has many fans, but I have yet to warm to her.

Watch The Adjustment Bureau and My Summer of Love. You'll warm to Emily more after them.

I have been meaning to watch My Summer of Love for years - I shall reserve final judgement for now!

In MSOL, Emily is great. Unfortunately the other lead, not so much.
