I have only seen ten films from 1931 of which six are worthy of a 'favourites' list.

3. M (Fritz Lang)

5. Tabu: A Story of the South Seas (F.W. Murnau)

I'll have to stop with the 30's though, to be honest I haven't seen many movies from the twenties, just a couple from 1929 . I'm not a big fan of the silents.

Awesome job, guys, on the 80+ years worth of excellent movies/decades 10 Favourites lists you created and/or added to!

For 1931, the films (listed alphabetically) I've collected are:

• Blonde Crazy
• The Miracle Woman
• Night Nurse
• Possessed
• Private Lives
• Smart Woman
• This Modern Age
• Waterloo Bridge

To round things up to 10, I'd probably go with:

• An American Tragedy
• The Maltese Falcon
