Discuss Take This Waltz

I'm not saying this affects my overall perception of the film but this is so ridiculous. A guy lives in a house by himself for which he pays with the income he gets getting people lifts on a rikshaw. So he has to RUN to the locations... Imagine if Margot and Lou had actually paid him for that fare. It took him like 20 minutes at best to get to the place? And they pay him what, 15 Canadian dollars at best? That tells you something about how much money he can make on a day.

And by the way, when bicycles are invented as another vehicle that doesn't require gas, what is the point of these type of rikshaws?

I didn't think a large part of his income came from rikshaws, but I could be wrong. I've only seen this terrible movie once.

Well, it's possible that he had inherited some money or something, but there was a scene where he explained that he's like an urban rikshaw guy and then somehow referred to his art, which he didn't have any income from because he only did it for hiw own pleasure and didn't let anoyne see it. "I'm a coward" he said when she asked him.

Maybe he was renting and it was cheap.
