No, the theme song is not like this: Alley OOP! Look at that caveman go. ( Maybe it should have been!)
This is a great and deep film. And it makes sense mostly. The human race could turn back the technology clock 50,000 years due to a Holocaust. All the sparse modern conveniences right down to horseback riding not practiced by Cro-Magnon man is explained by the futuristic element of the story. One thing is strange. Would dinosaurs ever come back due to a Holocaust of nuclear bombs? See my postings ( like on 'The Day After'!)

There are quite a few movies that I love that don't get much love from others, so it's cool with me if you like a movie most people don't.
From this movie's rating here on TMDb to reviews out there, I haven't seen much support for your assessment.
Please elaborate on what you liked about it, help others see what we apparently missed.

Well, I have things to do but I make time to answer. It was largely just as I said. The movie was in fact very, very logical in every single sense. I decided that the dinosaurs were cloned from a DNA lab and escaped during a holocaust. The elephants were obviously feral from zoo or circus elephants. Robert Vaughn as the lead in this was easily so intelligent because he descended from smart civilized people. His great-great granddaddy may have been a scientist or a doctor of some kind before the holocaust. The hairstyles on the women were often beautiful and they made great viewing and it was sensible as they had a few civilized hair tricks here and there left over from civilized generations before.
Did Israel and the Vatican still exist in the film?Maybe the scientist made a huge mistake and just thought they had been destroyed.
That is all. A great sensible film worthy of praise!
