David Tennant is best known for his role as the Tenth Doctor (2005-2010, 2013) in the BBC TV science fiction series "Doctor Who".
He played Detective Inspector Alec Hardy in the ITV TV crime series "Broadchurch (2013-)".

Loved him as Dr Who. I started watching Broadchurch but wasn't enthused. Didn't like him with jet black bristle on his face. Always looked untidy. Every time I saw him, I thought, will you please have a shave.

He is one of my favourite Doctor Who incarnations and whenever I see him in another role, I tend to think of him as Doctor Who or someone like the Meta-Crisis Doctor. Perhaps DI Alex Hardy is one of his human versions.
Anything is possible in this world of science fiction and fantasy.
On the TV show The Tenth Doctor had a clone daughter Jenny, and in real life the human David Tennant married the actress who played her, Georgia Moffett.
