I've watched quite a few of his movies and I can't think of one I haven't enjoyed.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford work well together.
Looks as though they don't try to steal the scene from each other, but both seem to have lots of fun acting together, and audiences appreciate this.
Instead of two top stars out on an ego trip, Newman and Redford both have great talent and know a good script when they see one.
Too bad there aren't any like them around Hollywood anymore.
