Discuss Doctor Who

Not so much for Pertwee himself ( though I feel he somewhat defied powerful script and direction and made Who his truly own, uniquecharacterization). But rather for comely Katy Manning who was the perfect sidekick of his, Jo. She is even more beautiful in the series than she looks in the still pictures. They made a simply excellent and engaging duo travelling through very different worlds and dimensions.

I will add two more things.

As a kid I found Pertwee's Who to be dressing almost like George Washington. I almost thought the show was set in the 1700s. But a quickly glance at a man in a military brown suit and tie showed it was contemporary.

Two, my quick assessment of Tom Baker. When I first saw him as Dr. Who in a magazine article on the show I thought he actually was Pertwee minus a wig or something. Also, I found Baker to indeed be more scripted and directed. Especially when compared to Pertwee's probably far more individual take on the part.

NOPE! The Tennant era WAS THE BEST!

There are happily bloopers to DW in both Pertwee and Baker's eras of the show. At YT.
