Type of Problem: Duplicate

Extra Details: Not sure why entries from 92-99 have been added to the specials. Looking at the screenshot they could be related to the S03 final episodes but they look to have been added in error to me and should be reviewed.

It looks like SamaraIstEinHurensohn removed information for episodes they didn't see as appropirate. I restored the titles and descriptions at least (to avoid confusion), but did not restore the airdates or episode numbers in case they are incorrect.

These specials look completely incorrect to me and hopefully a moderator will jump on these and remove them when they review. They appear to be some sort of a duplicate from the episodes in S03 of the series. Just look at 0x92, it matches 3x18-3x21 as 1 example.

I think it's whenever two episodes were released together, sometimes on DVDs/Blu-rays, like here https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/The_Boiling_Rock,_Part_1 they were on a DVD months before it aired, and here https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/The_Serpent%27s_Pass where two aired together in special screenings a week before. But yeah just removing the name of the episode doesn't help anyone.

I just want to jump in here and say that I was the one who corrected the specials up until November 10th and they were all satisfactory in my opinion at that point. It looks like user SamaraIstEinHurensohn came in and messed up all the titles/descriptions/and orders.

All the work I did were titles straight from the Blu rays as well as the order of the episodes. All the correct info is also on the TVDB for refence here.

Quick update, I had restored the episode orders, air dates, and titles to the way they were previously and so all seems well! Only incorrect part of the specials is still found in my post here which needs mods to perform the actions as it is locked.

Once again thanks all!

It definitely seems like combo episodes. I only have the blu-ray where the specials only correspond to special episodes 1-19. Episode 20 and on I cannot comment on but I restored them to November 10th 2021 info, matching The TVDB in case they were tampered with after that date.

Personally I still see these additional episodes as duplicates. Just because on physical release they got bundled together does not make them special individual episodes IMO. This to me is a basic aired order vrs DVD list of the same set of episodes.

The aired order of these episodes is contained in S03 and the DVD order of these few episodes have been duplicated and added as extras. Just because the episodes got combined together on DVD does not make them extras. Anyhow, I'll leave my opinion there and let a moderator decide what is best and respect their decision.

I think it doesn't hurt to have them in if that's their original form and they were split later. Just make sure the dates and everything are accurate. Oh and somebody should make the airdate for Secret of the Fire Nation correct, https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/The_Serpent%27s_Pass

I agree with cam1170. Even though it may not be 100% accurate, it still provides metadata with those who have copies of releases with episodes combined. It isn't really breaking site rules because it is still relevant and part of the show.

According to the contribution bible it says,

"We usually ignore digital previews for regular television series. To list a few examples, Fox's Ghosted debuted on Twitter, most episodes of the first season NBC's Aquarius and Freeform's Beyond as well as the fourth season of Fox's The O.C. previewed online. In all cases, the digital previews were ignored."

When a television network airs a preview of their television series on their own network, the preview date can be used. For example, the pilot of Freeform's The Bold Type previewed on Freeform three weeks before the official series premiere.

A notable but rare exception is when the pilot of a digital series premieres on television. For example, the first episode of The Good Fight (CBS All Access) premiered on CBS on February 19, 2017. The TV broadcast qualifies as a valid first air date, however, we decided not to add CBS as a network.

Though it's not explicit, I think since it was released to select theaters, it falls under "digital previews" and should be ignored as it isn't on their own network broadcast to all TV viewers like a traditional air date is. Plus September 15, 2006 matches with both IMDB and TVDB.
