Discuss Cowboy Bebop

Item: Season 1

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The episode numbering is incorrect. I checked multiple sources and most importantly the episodes themselves as it is announced in them and it's not right.

It should be the same as on Wikipedia :

The episodes are in the original airing order, as you can see on Wikipedia. The intended order is here.

Oh. Didn't know about the original airing order. Thanks for clarifying! Sorry for the disturbance.

No worries. The guidelines are all in the Contribution Bible. The main order should always be the original airing order (as long as contributors read and follow the guidelines). cat

It is hypocritical to require that the episode list follows the original air date while adding episodes to the season that were not included in the original airing.

If you give a look to IMDB it's in the right order and I think it's the good way to do it, there is no sense to inverse episode. As Zappiti use your database to present episode they are all in disorder and the story has no sense, you should reconsider your position on this point...

Thanks

The mandatory rule here is to respect the original broadcast order.

If you want the episodes in the normal story order, you can use this episode group.

OK, but I guess you API don't return this episode group as in Zappiti it's not proposed, so it doesn't solve my issue

Anyway, there is no solution because of the mandatory rule, but it's a very odd decision to not respect the right order of a serie decided by the author...

The episode groups are available via our API. You will have to ask Zappiti support to know if they provide a mean to access them or not.

We respect the original broadcast of all series. It is not our fault if, for some of them, the original broadcaster didn't respect the intended order.

Yes we know, no need to repeat yourself. The question here is why would they choose to respect the wishes of mere broadcasters over film creators and artists. It makes no sense, unless this website has something to do with broadcasters interests. We know the order in which most film is inteded to be experienced, how should that not be the default and for the broadcaster order to be secondary (and be done through episode groups).

I'm baffeled I even have to spell this out.

I agree with you ,they talk about the original air date while adding episodes to the season that were not included in the original airing. first air on TV Tokyo, then re-air it on WOWOW with another 13 new epiosodes , then they put them together without respecting WOWOW airing date. it just looks like a suture monster.

We put them together as they form one single season.

We respect the original airdate. For half of the episodes, this date is not the WOWOW date.
