Discuss Cowboy Bebop

Item: Jamming with Edward (1x5)

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The episode numbers on this series are incorrect. For example, Episode 5 should be "Ballad of Fallen Angels" instead of "Jamming with Edward". You can see more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Cowboy_Bebop_episodes

I can't edit these myself though. :-/

The episodes are listed in the order of their first TV broadcast.

You can use an episode group if you want them in another order.

Yeah, this policy makes no sense. I understand that sometimes it's hard to choose a canonical episode number and then you have to fall back to order of airing. But in the case of cowboy bebop, it says each episode number at the beginning of the episode. Pretty clear what the order should be. The only people who disagree seem to be TMDB mods.

There is nothing to do.

Fix the numbering plz.

They are correctly numbered as per the original broadcast.

As already indicated above, if you want them in another order, you need to use an episode group.

There is only one list of episodes.

Changes done in Chinese affect all languages.

There is one single list. The titles need to be aligned between the languages.

TVDB and us don't have the same rules.

Here, we strictly list all the shows based on the first broadcast. There are no exceptions.

As already indicated, you can customize them by using an episode group.

You need to ask this to the Emby support team...

I know how to use them in Kodi, but I don't know all the existing media players.

Emby使用的剧集规则是S01E01-xxx,剧集组里的顺序虽然改变了,但是“集编号”依然是错误的,这就导致Emby依然会获取到错误的分集信息。

=======================================================================================

The episode rule used by emby is S01E01 XXX. Although the sequence in the episode group has changed, the "episode number" is still wrong, which leads to that emby will still get the wrong diversity information.

Apparently, the episode groups aren't yet implemented in Emby. They are talking about them here. So, if you want to use them now, you will have to use another media player.

Another question is, can you modify the poster under the Chinese interface? I uploaded four Chinese posters, but I made a mistake in order. I want the second picture to be the main poster under the Chinese interface. Can you delete all Chinese covers, and then I'll upload them in the established order again!

The displayed poster is based on the user votes, not on the upload order. So, you have to upvote the one you want to see and downvote the others.

It seems foolish not to have exceptions for shows like this one, where the Creators of the show labeled the episodes in the order they wanted them to be released. We must assume they wrote the scripts in that order. The title card of each episode clearly states its number. Fortunately, Netflix is honoring the Creators' intentions by streaming in the order the artists requested.
