The choice of a reworked version of Rod Stewart's single "Faith of the Heart" - and subsequently renamed as "Where My Heart Will Take Me" - as the opening theme of "Star Trek: Enterprise", by the producers, caused a lot of controversy among the original fans.
The use of a known song, which was also on the soundtrack of the movie " Patch Adams (1998)" and the inclusion of a vocal theme was a major diversion from the usual orchestral themes.

The vocal theme was a bit strange at first but it grew on me. But the series as a whole was disappointing. There would be a couple of good episodes then, some really bad ones, then maybe a couple more good ones. But in the end, there were more bad than good. I've been trying to rewatch the show (it comes on after reruns of Voyager), but I end up switching channels partway through. I felt the same way about Stargate: Universe (it was mostly bad).

I agree. Some episodes were good, others just average. I kept watching until the final, because I've liked the actor Scott Bakula since "Quantum Leap (1989-1993)".

I think they should have gone with the Archer or end credits music it feels more like a Star Trek theme I also heard they had wanted to use U2's A Beautiful Day for the openings credit although after a few episodes the Faith Of The Heart song grows on you.
