Discuss The X-Files

I just got done reviewing the episode Clyde Bruckman’s Final Response....the guy who can tell how people are going to die.

Scully asks him how she dies and Bruckman tells her she doesn’t.

In the preceding seasons Scully has been through a lot and nearly ended up with fatal results. She fought cancer, has her heart neatly torn out, and had a slug put in her back......yet she’s survived.

Is it actually possible that she will indeed never die? Could Bruckman’s prediction be true?? Could Scully really be immune to death??

What are your opinions here?

There was this one episode where this guy who sort of reminded me of Bruckman who couldn’t die....saved Scully and then he died......could this be what Bruckman predicted??? Is Scully now unable to die???

Just a fascinating theory I’ve been thinking of.

I think it's another in a long list of things Chris Carter and the other creators threw out there but never really knew what to do with it. I do believe she can't die, as the motive to Bruckman was to have Death pick him over someone else. It worked... but like most curses, they never end... they just move on to someone else.

I figured it would have been a good way to connect to Millenium with both shows ending with the Apocalypse akin to Childhood's End, with Scully and the MIllenium group being the survivors to guide those who were chosen by the aliens to recolonize another world, as the Earth is destroyed in a cataclysm or some other shenanigans.

Not sure if you will ever see this but the title of the episode is "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" not response.
