Merged with the Gary Collins-show 'Sixth Sense'for just one thing, eps that were an hour got chopped up to half-hour, they inserted the mirror-people in the opening credits into some of the eps themselves and so-on.

Because most of the segments were not made to fill a 30-minute time slot, they had footage from some Universal movies added to them. An example is in the episode “Big Surprise” had footage from The Birds added to it. “The Housekeeper”used footage from _Frankenstein _ and “Lagota’s Heads” had Curucu, Beast of the Amazon.

I know why. The Different Ones btw had film of flying cops from that Fahrenheit 451 film . Not a total excuse was it. One ep improved by this adding film bits was the DJ ep by putting a pretty lady into the ep who was not at all there before.

I don’t know about that one. It was doing okay, then that brief shot of the horse-drawn hearse coming around the bend threw things off. The one I thought did well being expanded was “The Doll”.

The attractive girl was a definite plus! It was hard to watch just Arte Johnson. Do not remember how they changed The Doll.

I will say one thing. In its original form this ep has great music coming from those records the DJ plays!

Johnson's Wilson was scripted to be senseless not to really love the outstanding music first coming from those eerie records even if it was not what he was looking for. Nice to watch the girl in the added footage too.

Someone had told me that the flying police were in the original footage when the episode originally aired.

The original version of TDO had no flying policeman in it.

The info at imdb on TDO about the flying cops is just written by fans.

There are other articles that say the same thing! Just Google.

My point is. The stuff at IMDb was written by fans and proves little to nothing. I once wrote something on Hogan's Heroes on there and it got on.
