Would you?! Would any thinking person?!
I think not...
Sounds like one of oldest scams in the book. Yet, Nora who is usually so skeptical, can’t seem to help herself. Also, it seems as if she is moving up on Kevin in the batcrap-crazy race.
Anyway…
If this place they are sending people to is THE-PLACE-TO-BE why aren’t the senders going themselves? Why are they hanging back collecting $$$ instead?
Also, since the guy in the hotel room made it seem as if those sent OVER are not coming back, why are the senders NOT asking people to sign over all their worldly goods? It's not as if they will EVER have use for them again.
What say you?
Is anyone buying this guy's Nirvana spiel?

Wow, I just don't see the leap of where you went with permission to go or not. The show just doesn't seem to be that detailed of what you surmise? IMO
The phone thing being thrown, more just protocol since he said or asked are you recording this? Or you cannot record. She said no but he took extra precautions. Done, phone in toilet so no recording. Not a leap or parallel to what Tom did with breaking phone of Senator (which I think was for tracking reasons since he was a Senator).
If I recall, Nora talking on phone to her 'boss' or whatever he was, he clearly was having a loud & open conversation clearly talking to Nora and with his buddy next to him, it's easy to surmise based on what he said to Nora and out loud no less, his buddy next to him clearly knew it was about Nora & it was Nora. His response of she's going, was more of the open air convo he had with her and confirming to buddy 'she's going' since he clearly had this convo out loud, so a natural response to buddy next to him to conclude it with 'she's going'. He didn't act or behave or talk like it was a secret convo or anything such. Watch the scene again. I'm willing to bet I'm more correct than not. And that would mean their isn't this shadow stuff going on like in a Mission Impossible movie. LOL
But continue on as usual.

I am gonna watch again. See if I've missed that whole scene. And maybe discounted it too quickly.
Sorry, but I don't read all the articles and feel like it's more Nora being Nora. She's pretty headstrong and does her thing. Similar to the convention being told to leave hotel due to bar scene that she clearly wasn't responsible for. Did she listen, NO. Cleaned herself up and determined to find who was impersonating her. Which I see as her boss saying, SHE"S GOING. He knows she was going to do it regardless so he submitted to her ;)
I don't buy what others saying completely. Have my own opinion and feel like I've been more on than off on what's happened. But that's beauty of this show too. Many theories. Enjoy seeing yours since it makes me rethink or review to test or confirm.
Carry on please ;)

Here's review for next week per IMDB:
Kevin and Nora travel to Australia, where she continues to track down the masterminds of an elaborate con, while he catches a glimpse of an unexpected face from the past, forcing him to confront the traumatic events of three years earlier.
Now, to ME, that description in itself talks or confirms or elicits that Nora indeed after the CON vs all these other theories with her. Why would they put that out there other than the obvious that she's after the CON?? Just my way of seeing this unfolding and staying along the lines of what show is about versus all these crazy theories or ideas. Again, what all this publications and utubers have to say fun to hear maybe, but a lot just doesn't seem to fall in line what show is about? But again, please keep them coming.
Also, Kevin's glimpse from past and then the events of 3 years earlier tells me logically that it isn't the woman he was having sex with. Patti maybe, or Evie or Meg or Holy Wayne??? Certainly not IMO 7 years ago affair woman at hotel. Hell, maybe even someone from International Assassin hotel he sees? OR, maybe it's his DAD, that's a familiar face, NO? He certainly to this point when talk of going to Australia did he get real excited or HELL YEA, my dad is in Australia. Seems like a natural for him to immediately connect that dot like a normal person would, but is he NORMAL? LOL

Well, even though I disagree with you on Nora being an agent of her employer in this mission, I will say that we are certainly due for her to have her rigid lack of faith challenged. From the flash forward, I assume that it only further hardens her hate. Like she sees that there actually is hope but ends up the loser again by way of losing her new family etc.
This season is only 8 episodes long??? That is a bummer. It's getting great press. Too bad. I remember when Babylon 5 was slated for cancellation by end of season 4 so they really crammed the complete story arc into it which propelled the ratings high enough for season 5 to be green-lit ... which left them treading water for content.

Agree totally with your thoughts.
Only item I don't agree upon is the "bait" scenario. don't think that's an angle or subplot or anything else. He's nothing IMO. She's going regardless of job. As is KevJr.

Holy crap. Man that is crazy. I didn't think at all those might be the dead kids. So is this really him dreaming?? So none of what they are doing is real. So the boat and kids are ghosts. Now I'm totally blown away.
Gonna watch that part again

I think Nora wants to believe because it would mean that there was some hope. But she doesn't and is angry at the constant false hope that she sees all the time.
Also very cool that the adopted kids match up with the ark people. Thanks for doing the investigation.
