Discuss Gotham

I only ask because I have noticed something odd about this series, what I have noticed is that there is no sense of timeframe in this series, if you notice there are no calendars anywhere for one thing, the characters do not use exact dates for their present timeframe and last night the grave for Bruce's Father was missing the dates, so I am wondering when this occurs, late 90's early 2000's? I think they leave it vague on purpose as to not tie the series any particular timeframe.

Like you said, they're intentionally not revealing it. My guess is they probably don't even know themselves.

I'd go with intentionally not setting it in any particular time frame. The visual style is very film noir, so should be in the past. Technology and slang seem to be from several periods. Costuming also.

It's a comic book fantasy world so it's in its own unique time period.

I also don't think the writes even know.
