Yes, all main characters that fight crime must be messed up in some way, that's the rule of tv. But this one is quite inventive and damn.. Stellan Skarsgard is a good actor. He really makes this show heartbreaking in a good way.

I am in the middle of watching this again - it's well worth another look. I really like Stellan Skarsgard and the end scene is really innovative and endearing.
