I could not have said it better. Aksel Hennie always puts in a great performance and this show is no exception. But I was impressed by everyone in this series. And as you point out, the script was very well written and executed. Top flight work all around. I rarely watch a show without complaining about over used and poorly done tropes and plot devices, repetitive and predictable story lines, and scenes which strain credulity to the maximum. There was none of that here. They told the story neatly and fully in the eight episodes, but I wish they had continued it for another 100.
It is well worth the extra effort to read the subtitles.

A shame it didn't continue, although at least it was perfect.
