Discuss The Mandalorian

The OT is Star Wars. It told the story, established the SW universe, set the standards, and stood for a generation before any attempt to exploit it for new revenue streams.

The PT will remain controversial and hard to fully accept, for good reasons. Personally, I hate it (for the most part, and the parts I don't hate hardly redeem the project on the whole).

Disney is all over the place - if it isn't a derivative pandering, it's pushing new directions that make no sense based on what we knew before.

Clone Wars is an excellent installment, and should have been more what the PT covered - although not live action, it's actually an important installment that adds value to the OT.

The Manadalorian is, to me, the best SW installment since the OT and perhaps the best looking installment of all time. Gorgeously shot, delightfully written and directed, and deftly acted. And, thus far through my viewing of ~three episodes~ season one, it stands independently of the OT tastefully, tactfully and respectfully.

Agree with all you said. The Mandalorian is doing SW right. By going outside the stories we know and exploring another aspect of the SW world and characters. Even Baby Yoda is kinda cool.

I hope it stays that way.
