Antwerp boy scout troop masters Max and Jelle Dhondt, brothers and Laurens report the disappearance of unpopular, difficult loner Bram, who was tied up near the rising stream for a game, or rather as implicit punishment. The team soon discovers there was more going on in the troop, involving girl scout Julie. More violence is at hand.

A night-watcher of the Rubenhuis, Antwerp's splendid baroque museum, has been murdered at night. The intruder probably came trough a hatch to the old sewage system. Lucas is on FBI forensic training course. While Peter Bruylands jogs in the Antwerp city park with his wife Barbara Van Dijck, his eyes are suddenly stabbed out by a masked assailant, who looses epilepsy pills while fleeing, apparently having failed to slit Peter's throat. While Jimmy and Mike stand guard at blinded Peter's hospital room, press photographer Ben Rijpens is allowed an interview. He tells how his son Jasper first lost the ability and later died after an accident and suddenly pierces Peter's ears, then escapes.
