Discuss Neon Genesis Evangelion

Would it be possible to make the Director's Cut episodes (episodes 21 to 24 have Director's Cut versions) as Specials?

Thanks.

Edit: Upon reading the TV bible, it seems this isn't possible. Not sure how to close this post, but if someone can, please do. Thanks.

Director's Cut episodes is 2003 remake,you can go https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/241769

The link is dead it seems - what was it pointing to? ID 241769 is no longer existing.

The OP could be about the 2015 box release or the 2003 release. Not sure, they might not be sure either.

But why can't we simply put all the curious episode remakes in as specials like we do with hundreds of other series? What we're dealing with is collectible releases being sold with retooled (or portions of fresh) content. "SPECIAL releases"

I'd like to request Season 0 be brought back for this show so that these loose bits and pieces of content can be documented rather than black holed.

Alternate versions aren't supported on TMDB. Consequently, the Director's Cut version can't be listed.

Please disregard the OP's "director cut" comment. We're only talking about un-aired special content from DVD's and BlueRays. Nobody in this thread was asking for a feature to support "special versions". I respect how TMDB focuses on air dates.

But.. Is there a TMDB style guideline rule is against a Specials Season to contain the special content released on some blu-ray / DVD releases? The site seems full of Season 0 buckets that usefully contain all such loose ends. I highly recommend bringing it back or else over the years this discussion thread will just keep filling up with guys wondering why the special release content is missing.....

The subject of this content report is, as indicated by its title, the director's cut version.

If you want to talk about another special episode, please create your own content report and explain in it precisely which special episode you want to add.

Closing here.

Sorry to keep re-opening, but you speak as if different versions of an episode are a-priori prohibited. TMDB does "support" alternate version episodes provided they're stuffed into the "specials" bucket. Support is a stretch of the word, since they're just tossed into S00 for record keeping - which is fully adequate.

Dr. Who for example (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/121-doctor-who/season/0) has over 200 pieces of content in its specials season, including episode episode 20 which is an alternate version of a previously aired episode. I've seen other examples around the site - it seems valid and allowed.

Perhaps what you were alluding to is some crazy TMDB software feature for managing the the ordering of these arbitrary episode variants - which i'd agree is off the table and likely impossible.

That said, I acknowledge that an exact list is needed before a special content season can be made, and I'll work on that. I will not reopen this thread - thanks much.
