Discuss Mission: Impossible

Even though I've been a hard-core Mission Impossible fan since 1969, I don't think this reboot should have been made. I imagine that part of my reasons for my attitude was that I felt that the 1966-73 seasons were perfect and to reboot it would just not feel right.

Hello, Lima-2! Yes, this series was not a good idea. I was painfully reminded of that 2 years ago when I bought a used copy of this show's second season.

The fact that the show was filmed in Australia, in addition to how in every episode, regardless of what country they were supposed to be in, all of the guests stars spoke English with an Australian accent (kind of like how Magento in the X-Men reboot movies speaks English with an Irish accent despite being German).

I never saw the one with the devil worshippers. But do you remember the two part episode with Greg Morris? Oh it was horrible what they put Barney through! The worst part was that they had him tied up show these super cheesy people mind destroying lights shot into Barney's eyes! Oh, the humanity!

I don't anything about dream machines, but I was also was sad to see frail he was. I've always adored Greg Morris, but I wished he hadn't made the appearances on the show.

@lima-2 wink I'm not sure if we ever discussed this, but I read in IMDb that Mr. Morris was in a car crash in 1981 which required facial injury repair. That could explain how he looked. BTW, how are you doing? I haven't seen you on the MI 1966 board for awhile.

@lima-2 wink No, I haven't heard from him. I hope that he's okay. September has not a good one for Florida.
