Isidoro Colepicula is a humble truck driver hired to transport some furniture from São Paulo to Santos, in his worn out truck he calls "Anastácio". Hiding among the pieces travels a bride who's trying to escape her own marriage. With his dog Coroné, he gets himself into many amusing situations, especially when the packed vehicle is left without brakes on a steep road, and he has to chase after it.

It is the story of Pedro, who after being passed over by his brothers, wanders the world in search of a better life, but on the way, finds children who eventually conquer it, and in order to help them, he passes scamming other people he met along the way, telling lies, however, always with the goal of helping him new friends. And kills a cow.

After being deceived by a small time crook with a promise of a job for his family, Bernardino Jabá (Amácio Mazzaropi), his wife Marcolina Jabá (Geny Prado), their two sons, their daughter and their Spanish friend are mistaken as being "cangaceiros" (bandits from the Northeastern of Brazil). They help the police to arrest the outlaws, but Bernardino Jabá misses and is considered dead. When he returns to the small village one year later, the locals believe that it is his soul indeed.

Fofuca is a farmer who faces the exploitation of an entrepreneur in a Japanese-Brazilian community. He joins the Japanese immigrants, who found a cooperative where they fight for their rights.

Old and conservative industrialist goes to São Paulo to visit his children, who are locally in charge of his business. When he finds out they're having more fun than work, at first he is shocked, but gradually starts to join in.

Countryman J.K. gets annoyed and quits his job on a farm when his boss sends his pet cow to a slaughterhouse in town. In search of the animal, J.K. goes to the city and, there, is harassed by several single women.

Jeca has to face a rich farmer woman that wants his love. At the same time, his wife seems to be possessed by the Devil. Made after the huge success of 'The Exorcist', Mazzaropi created his version of the Blockbuster.

A white hillbilly fathers a mysteriously black boy, who despite the prejudice falls in love with the daughter of a rich farmer.

Gostoso is the conductor of a female band formed only by old women. When scouring the garbage dump, he becomes the main suspect of a robbery after his wife finds a small bag of jewels, having to do everything to prove her innocence.

September 29, 1980

In the hunt for votes, two farmers do everything to be elected mayor in a interior town. The colonels, Liborio and Afonso have religious communities and use the spaces to influence the upcoming elections.
