Discuss Extract

If I could only watch films from one director, it'd be this guy's work.

I agree 1000%. I haven't seen this yet but I have yet to see anything from him I didn't like.

I'm a fan...but not everything he's done was a hit for me.

Office Space rules. I've lost count of how many times I've seen and/or quoted it. I even bought a red Swingline stapler and an Initech mug.

Idiocracy is prescient. Seemed outrageous at time of release, but has increasingly been recognized for being uncannily reflective of disturbing directions in western society.

Extract is subtle, understated. I like Jason Bateman, and I think that buoys my reaction to this movie higher than it's worth, but it wasn't terrible.

R.I.P.D., never seen it, reviews aren't spectacular. I suppose I'll get to it sooner or later and make up my own mind about it.

Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill, I just don't identify with these.

Judge is cool, but if I had to bet on a director, Billy Wilder tops my list; Quentin Tarantino is right up there; Spike Lee is in the mix, too.

Judge is on a different plane, so to speak. I would never consider him a premier writer director and I guess that goes with the stigma of comedy writers/performers. They just are not held in high regard as drama. I'm a huge fan of Beavis and Butthead. But I do recognize that you either love it or hate it. I never got much into King of the Hill but I do recognize it as being good work. I do appreciate how Judge "gets it" . I know we could totally have a beer and perhaps agree on almost everything politically. He just comes across as being quite perceptively acute as to what is going on in the world.

I am surprised I agree with you on something.
