Wow, Im watching the movie now and came her to see what people had to say, and to find out the beautiful girl died after a life of drug use is very saddening. I thought "she's beautiful what did she go into?"

Being raped is something you carry with you your whole life and yes, if you're prone to severe stress and anxiety you can easily fall down the rabbit hole without really knowing why, because your mind isn't always making the connection. In this case, she hadn't disclosed to her parents what happened, maybe she kept it secret to everyone close to her.

@intothenightalone, If I'm not mistaken I noticed a bit of sarcasm in your post. If she had shown signs of anxiety because of the rape, it would have been the parents obligation to pick up on that and do something about it. It's so damn important to nip it in the bud! My guess is that because she had started her movie career they turned a blind eye or maybe there were no signs at all because the parents made the whole thing up to have something to blame their own negligence on.

Anyway, it has been determined that she was not using drugs heavier than marijuana at the time, but that she died of an unfortunate combination of post-op pain medications, anti-anxiety pills and some other heart- and lung medication.

Her fate is very tragic and I believe it could have had a whole different outcome. Something tells me she didn't have enough people in her life who truly cared for her.

Born in a society that is progressive and sex is casual results in rapes going unnoticed.

As Jesus, i won't accept her into heaven for being a sinful person. Unless she repents in hell.

Erin Moran (Joanie from "Happy Days") is another tragic victim. She died last week, April 22, 2017.

I recall how pretty I found Amanda while watching that silly movie. Christina Milian made an even lovelier object-of-an-unpopular-guy's-attention in Troy Byer's remake of the film (I didn't see that one all the way through) IMO.
