a very under-rated film

recently watched the restored version and I find it one of the best noirs from the early 50s.

Joan Crawford is absolutely SUPERB in this motion picture. She is so captivating and truly gets the inner terror across so splendidly. The overall film left a bit to be desired in terms of leading man and some of the story didn't grip me so much. Crawford definitely carried this to a large degree, although I must say there was a high level of cinematography. Really well done.
