Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for 1988's "Married to the Mob," and also co-starred in big films like the original "Dune," "Blue Velvet" and "Paris, Texas." He found even more TV popularity when he joined the "Battlestar Galactica" cast in 2006. Thanks to that role, and his 'Quantum Leap' stardom, Dean became a fixture at sci-fi conventions all over the country.

Loved him in Quantum Leap.

Loved him even more miming to Roy Orbison in Blue Velvet.

Rest In Peace

He is unforgettable in Blue Velvet.

Yep. He almost(but not quite)outshines memories of Isabella Rossellini's bare and full frontal body in that same film

RIP

In an earlier scene in the same film, Lynch shows Rossellini undressed in a room from far away, in a manner that makes her deliberately look unsexy, and I wonder: What are your thoughts on that, mech?

BTW, I'll make it clear that we have more in common than we do in opposition on this issue. I greatly enjoy women's physical beauty. I just find it important to interrogate statements like yours up above sometimes.

Do The Hustle.
