In true Fulci form, the film is steeped in the nonsensical with dead end plot points such as people mentioning how the husband had been there before or how it was hinted that Ann the babysitter somehow knew more than what she let on. It is just the worst story telling you can possibly imagine. The gratuitous gore was pretty well done but it just seems like the film was made to specifically showcase it and story and plot be damned. Who cares if the story makes no sense? We are here to gross you out! Are you grossed out? Then mission accomplished! Movie sucks. Don't waste your time. I'm debating removing it from my collection which is extremely rare for me.

OMG dude! This is coming from someone who has a high tolerance for garbage films. I was a huge fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 but this shit just rubs me the wrong way. There is absolutely no effort at all in presenting a cohesive story and I find it offensive as though he is saying "Look kid, you're a retard. You came to see some gross shit and I gave it to you. Move along if you want 'A story' you movie snob."

House by the Cemetery is my fav Fulci film...PERIOD! The Gore is over the top, the story simplistic & a little nonsensical, the dubbing atrocious...and I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Different strokes for different folks! Thanks for your patronage on blind buying it apparently...now sell your DVD or Blu Ray or whatever and move on! Have a nice day!

No, maybe I will. I actually got interested in Fulci researching Italian horror flicks and delving into Argento's work and I stumbled upon an article that spoke about the Gates of Hell trilogy so I decided to check it out. If I would have liked it I would have bought them. I am a firm believer in try before you buy and the magic of the internet provides that for me. Thank the gods I didn't waste my money on that trash.
