This is easily one of the worst "movies" i have seen in a very long long time. wow this is bad!

This thing was so terrible. I think the guy from Prison Break directed it. There is a like a part in the movie where a whole dinner scene is missing. Can't imagine what kind of development hell this went through.

Wentworth Miller you are refering to did indeed write it but he didn't direct it. DJ Caruso (director of Disturbia w/ Shia LaBeouf and David Strathairn, Taking Lives w/ Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke) directed it.
It probably did indeed seem a bit like the studio decided to edit it down alot in order to not go beyond the 90 minute mark.

It wasn't 'good' but it manage to keep my interest for the morepart and it did have some scenes and ideas I thought were pretty good, but overall it wasn't anything amazing though. But I've seen worse movies as recent as yesterday when I watched 'OFFSPRING (2009)'.
