Discuss Battle of the Sexes

Proved that women can do anything a man can do, only better. Should be good.

Steve Carell plays some coach or something, right? He looks really old in the previews.

Her opponent? He looks like he's in his fifties.

Wow, do you guys think the piggy running around at the end of some of the commercials is supposed to symbolize Bobby Riggs??

Hadn't noticed the piggy, and I'll refrain from jumping to conclusions regarding the movie's stance on men more broadly until I've actually sat through the entire film.

Wow, that's a weighted statement. Bear in mind that I was only asking a question, nothing more. And knock yourself out!

I was only asking a question.

Not seeing where my replies have been testy thus far. My apologies if this has been the case. Have you read anything about the movie, Satch, and if so, what are your impressions about the movie?

I don't see why someone has to read anything about a movie, for their perspective on it to be viable??????? Like many people who I'm sure are reading, I've merely seen spots on TV, and read the synopsis of the film on this site.

The movie looks pretty good to me.

Bobby Riggs was the male tennis player, and it turns out he was 55 at the time. I guess they got it right with the makeup and everything.

BJK presented him with a piglet before the match, symbolizing that he was a male chauvinist pig.

Riggs was 55 for the big match with BJK. Steve is 55 present day.
