According to other fans, the movie is realistic in some areas regarding the historic quake. I watched the film over the weekend for the first time. This my first time being exposed to Ms. McDonald's talents.

It's been probably around five years since I last watched this. Good cast and performances. Compelling disaster drama.
Fun fact (in case you didn't already know it): Marie Blake, best known for her role as Grandmama Addams on the The Addams Family mid-1960s t.v. series, was Jeanette MacDonald's sister!
