And you can tell it's directed by Chloé Zhao of Nomadland. I hear Marvel is shooting for a Best Picture Oscar with this one.

I noticed the promo teasing a film of The Marvels. Is that the same Marvels that I'm thinking of? The one about the journalist looking back over the history of super heroes. I never saw them turning that into a film. Could be very interesting. A big departure from Marvel's usual stuff.

I know what you're talking about, but no. The Marvels is just the name for Captain Marvel 2. It's being called that because it is a team up of Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) and Ms Marvel (Kamala Khan), along with Monica Rambeau.
