The film was produced by Hyperobject Industries and Legendary Pictures. Searchlight Pictures merely acquired the distribution rights before the film's premiere at the virtual 2022 Sundance Film Festival. If the film was already completed when Searchlight Pictured bought the film, Searchlight Pictures did not produce the film.
