In this Film Noir parody Steve Martin plays a detective who is asked to prove whether a car accident was indeed an accident or murder...
What makes this movie exceptional is how movie clips from the 1940s with screen legends of that era are interwoven into 95 percent of the scenes.
Rachel Ward is the femme fatale (love interest) for Martin. A comedy with a difference.

I loved the way all those old film clips were interwoven in the story!! As you said - a comedy with a difference. Every now and then you were treated to a little slice of heaven from the past. Cool.

Yes I was umming and aarring and then on to the next one. You could probably make a game out of it
