Discuss Halloween

Got this movie out as I do every year at this time. Watching it right now...love it as always...my favorite of all the slasher horror movies.

Anyway...things I'm thinking about it as I watch different scenes:

  1. Judith....when Michael kills her, she didn't put up much of a fight. She was clearly alive enough to keep crying and screaming after his initial stab, why the hell didn't she grab his little wrist and break it? I know if she had...we probably wouldn't have this movie, but seriously...she could have at least fought him a little.

  2. There's a scene of Tommy at school...or after school and Michael is clearly stalking him. Makes me wonder if Michael had plans to kill the kid. What do you think?

Discussion here is so minimal...I really do miss IMDB.

We shouldn't mention them in fear of summoning their presence. Lol

I never cared for the general boards on IMDb so I'm happy to post here even though it's slower. I'm sure the same topics are discussed ad nauseum

I agree. They will remain nameless from here on out.

I pretty much stick to the music and sports forums there. I will venture into the horror forum from time to time.

Compared to this place yes its busier. The main drawback is that the boards are much more generalized. In fact its pretty much a carbon copy of all the general boards the original imdb had. Each movie/tv show/actor/actress doesn't have their own board like they have here or the original imdb. If you want to talk Halloween you pretty much have to go to the horror general board and wade through other topics to find Halloween threads.

By headaches do you mean CJ and friends? I haven't encountered any of them. CJ said he wouldn't be participating in any other forums due to the "grief" and haters he accumulated. Dave pretty much said the same thing.

Haha that's funny about CJ and Dave lol.

Carpenter was amazing live! I would love to show you my Meet n Greet pic. How do I send it? Lol

You can send it to theshape25@gmail.com

You realize pathetic losers like you . Sitting at a keyboard lashing out at people because you're too much of a coward to live in the real world.

I have a life. You'll crawl under some other board rock and harass people, but here you'll be banned quicker and have less options and freedom.

IMDb was your whole life, since you were psychotic enough to make topics, sock accounts and everything you've said and done before proves this. Randy who apparently has no job. So look in the mirror at your own sad little life.

Uh oh, I think CJ is back!

This is one thing I do not miss. The trolls like Randy Mccaslin. Grow up people, get a life.

Dude, you're the only one I see lashing out here! Be cool, man!

You're just another moron in a long line of morons who flex their pathetic egos on the internet like it means something.

I've never been stabbed but I can imagine it's a very painful experience and even if she attempted to fight back Michael kept stabbing away at her so either way she wouldn't have been able to put up much of a fight. It's not like she was stabbed in the leg or arm, she was stabbed in fatal parts of her body instantly.

I think like Simest said, Michael wanted to check out anyone who's had contact with Laurie or who's connected with her that he's seen for himself. Also, I'd like to add that maybe that shot was filmed to tell the audience "see, nobody is safe, not even children!"

I miss IMDb with the exception of a few dildos that'll remain nameless. I used to be HaddonfieldMemorial and randy3419 ;)

I do miss IMDB, but I will also say that I've never been stabbed. BUT, I can also say that I have training for when I am stabbed, and training kicks in, but with lack of training, your brain sorta goes haywire trying to find an answer to the situation at hand. Thus, Judith didn't know how to respond so she panicked. It actually makes perfect sense! Also, I would likely panic too, despite somewhat extensive training!

Goddamn Dave is one ugly dude lol

Damn this topic went way off track. Thanks Dave.

I'll be honest and say that I haven't given this much thought, but as you've said the boards done have enough discussion to begin with.

  1. Her lack of defense can be dismissed several ways. One, she's taken totally by surprise. Two, she's topless and without any clothing to absorb some of the blows. Three, we have little insight into where she was stabbed first; it could have been in a shoulder, for instance, preventing her from lifting an arm in defenselist.
  2. As others have said, I think Michael was curious about the boy and was essentially gathering Intel on Laurie. However, had she not sent the kids away I'm sure Michael would killed them too, most likely in Laurie's presence, to heighten her terror as he did by methodically killing her friends.
