Who the fuck watches one of the most classic horror movies for the first time in thirty years is a better question.

🤣😂

What's "The Shape" ?

Something that Pam Anderson would've never had much of, had she existed in a pre-plastic surgery world

To be fair, Pam Anderson was extremely cute before she ruined herself with that shit. I'm not saying cosmetic surgery has no place. I have seen some crooked noses get fixed but it seems they always go overboard to where they end up looking scary. I swear to god, that would be a great slasher flick. Have someone with over done plastic surgery running around killing people. Their face alone would induce nightmares. I'm thinking the weirdoes in Escape From LA where Bruce Campbell played the Dr.

At any rate, in my own layman terms, "the Shape" is Michael Myers, kinda - it denotes his actuality as "pure evil incarnate", far beyond just being a disturbed human. If you read elsewhere about the Shape, you'll get a fuller sense of what I've tried to capture here, just to point you in the direction.

Yeah... Carpenter never anticipated MM becoming a household name, nor these movies becoming a franchise that would last for decades. As such, he didn't attach much importance to the name "Micheal Meyers", and referred to this first movie's villain as The Shape. Same way the original Hellraiser didn't refer to any character as Pinhead

On that note, do the cenobites have proper names? Does the Pinhead and the Chatterer called each other Joey and Billy at the water cooler?

In this day and age, they're almost certainly remembering to use their preferred pronouns also

Not for nothing but it is kinda hard to tell the gender of the cenobites sometimes so having the he/him she/her in their email sigs would be helpful. 😜
